My grandmother Mrs. Ona Sharp of Columbia Tennessee recalls stories her grandmother Caledonia White Andrews, (her mother Mary Ann Gordon  married Reuben White), told her of growing up in this house and continues to pass down the story of Dolly Cross Gordon feeding hoecakes (fattybread) to the Indians on the front porch.  Caledonia married William J. Andrews who became a 5 time mayor of Columbia & they had my great grandmother Caledonia "Pet" Andrews Sharber.  Ona was the daughter of "Pet" and downtown storekeeper Joseph Sharber.
